1 . May motorcyclists share lanes with other vehicles that are not motorcycles?
In Nevada, a motorcyclist may not pass or ride next to another vehicle in the same lane or ride between vehicles in adjacent lanes, even if the vehicles are stopped. Motorcyclists may ride two abreast in the same lane, though it is not recommended.
2 . A motorcyclist is well-protected if they are wearing:
For your protection while riding, it is best to wear a jacket and pants that cover your arms and legs completely. Boots or shoes should be tall and sturdy enough to cover and support your ankles. Footwear should have low heels that will not catch on the foot pegs or rough road surfaces. Gloves made of leather or another durable material will help protect your hands in the event of a crash while providing you with an improved grip on the controls.
3 . What does alcohol do to your riding skills and judgement?
Alcohol negatively affects many skills needed for safe riding, including your reaction time and ability to see clearly. It can also harm your judgment of speed and distance, lower your inhibitions, and make you more prone to taking chances.
5 . When a lead rider's left arm is bent at the elbow with their index finger pointing straight up, it means:
Hand signals are an important part of communication when riding in groups. When the lead rider's left arm is bent at the elbow with their index finger pointing straight up, it means the group should move into a single-file formation.
6 . To provide the best protection to the wearer, boots or shoes should:
For riding, choose boots or heavy shoes that are tall and sturdy enough to cover and support your ankles. Heels should be low so that they won't catch on rough surfaces. Tuck in long laces so that they don't catch on the motorcycle's moving parts.
